Firefly is a theatrical coming-of-age tale of loss, grief and forgiveness. The show weaves together Sally’s songs, movement, AV, autobiographical stories and spoken word.
Firefly was performed in the 2017 Auckland Arts Festival RAW series and featured songs from Sally’s 2015 debut album Weightless.
Supported by Creative New Zealand.
Sally’s brother Ben was a musician, sound engineer, and producer. Firefly weaves together accounts of growing up with him, his battle with addiction and recovery, and his accidental drug overdose.
